Spicy Chilli Chicken-Starter (Indian style)

  1.  500gms bone/boneless chicken Wash and cut into medium pieces (I prefer chicken  with bones)
  2. Take a large mixing bowl and put chicken in it
  3. Mix the following : 2 eggs, 2 tbsp cornflour, salt to taste, 1 tsp crushed pepper powder, 2 tbsp ginger and garlic paste,1 tbsp mustard/olive oil, 1-2 tbsp chilli sauce/tabasco (adjust based on how hot you like), 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  4. Keep aside to marinate (at least for 30 mins)
  5. Slice 4/5 green chillies (use 2-3 if you don’t like it hot )
  6. Chop 4 garlic pods
  7. Chop 2 spring onions with the greens
  8. Chop 2 large peppers (cube shape)
  9. Chop 1 large onion – (cube shape)
  10. In a deep pan heat enough oil to deep fry the chicken
  11. Oil should be very hot when you put the marinated chicken pieces in
  12. Fry till slight golden brown or done
  13. Remove and place in a plate with some tissue to soak the excessive oil!!!
  14. In the same pan and left over oil saute peppers and onion for 2-3 mins
  15. Then add spring onions , chillies and saute for 30 secs and add 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
  16. Now add the fried chicken to the same pan 
  17. Sprinkle on top some crushed pepper powder and squeeze some lime juice

And here it goes….enjoy with noodles or just like that , or make a wrap out of it!!
